According to the latest United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (February 2, 2007):

"Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, melting of snow and ice, and rising sea level. There can be no question that the increase in greenhouse gases are dominated by human activities” .
