A Young Green Hero

Ryan Hreljac was only in the first grade in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada when he learned people were dying from lack of clean drinking water in Africa. He thought that everyone had the right to access clean water and that with a lot of effort, he could help them live a healthy life. Ryan worked endlessly for four months until he reached a goal of $ 70; enough to build a clean water well in Uganda.

Ryan went from collecting $70 to millions of dollars to build wells in Africa. Ryan is now 16 years old, and has helped to built over 329 wells in 14 different countries.
