Follow these easy steps to submit your Canadian author for kids for our website.

Research E-mail Submission Information Graphics
  1. RESEARCH

    Before you start make sure you have parental permission for your students to participate in a web-based project. Feel free to use our letter of permission.

    Students should research their author. They should gather the the following information:
    • biography
    • why they started writing
    • their accomplishments
    • the type of books they write- give examples
    • reasons why author was chosen
    • photo
    • Sources of information (the URLs, bibliographical information)


    All photos or drawings
    should be saved in gif or jpg format.

  1. E-MAIL
    Submit your student's writing by e-mail to:
    dalia_naujokaitis@occdsb.on.ca
    In the subject box type canadian author
    In the text box of the e-mail: copy your students' work
    Attachments: if you have created an HTML file using our template, please send it as an attachment.

  2. SUBMISSION INFORMATION
    Indicate the number of submissions you are sending in the e-mail. Please include the author's first name and age or grade after each piece of writing. Include the following general information which will be needed as each class/school will have their own page on the website.

  3. GRAPHICS
    Submit scanned images, photos or original student computer generated images as attachments..
    You must provide the source of your photo or it will not be published.
    All graphic files should be saved in either gif or jpg format.
    Maximum size for graphics : 200X200, 250X150, 150X200 pixels.
