Biography:
Tim Wynne-Jones was born in Cheshire, England, grew up in British Columbia and Ontario, and studied at the University of Waterloo and York University. His writing career began when he won the $50,000 Seal First Novel Award for "Odd's End", a book that he wrote in 5 weeks while his wife was away.Among his books are picture books, fiction for children and young adults, novels for adults, radio dramas, a children's musical and many other "works of art". He is now living in Perth, Ontario.

Why became a writer:
Tim Wynne-Jones wrote his first novel, Odd's End, in the summer after he had graduated with an MFA (Masters of Fine Arts). He decided to write the novel because he was bored. He won the Seal First Novel Award for it, thus his writing career began! And he never looked back.

Types of books:
Tim Wynne-Jones writes mostly fiction books and short-story books like ``Some of the Kinder Planets.``
He writes books for all ages, ranging from 10 to about 50, 60 years old. He writes books that inspire the reader and make them want to read it again. Read a review written by me of his book of short stories Some of the Kinder Planets.
