Summary: Stanley Yelnats the 4th, is a 11 year old boy with a curse. His no- good- dirty-rotten- pig-stealing great-great-grandfather stole a pig from a fortune teller and laid a curse on all the future Yelnats. Because of this curse Stanley gets framed (or was in the wrong place at the wrong time). He gets charged for stealing a famous baseball player's shoes that were going to be auctioned off for a lot of money! Stanley chose to go to Camp Green Lake instead of jail. At Camp Green lake the warden makes the boys dig a hole that is 5 feet deep and 5 feet across.

Rating:

I think this book deserves a good rating because it is a good adventure and fantasy novel. The curse in the book can raise a child's imagination. It tells the reader how much determination a child can have. It also tells the reader how it feels to be in prison. You'll really feel as if you are there!
