Summary:
This book is about a girl named Jessie who is about 13 years old. She thinks she is living in the 1800's in a place called Clifton. One day the children of Clifton start getting a disease called diphtheria that is treatable now, but deadly back then. Jessie's mother tells her that Clifton is a historical preserve and outside it is really 1996. She sends Jessie on a dangerous mission to find help. But she soon finds out that the world outside of Clifton is more dangerous and alien. Can she get help before she runs out of time?

Rating:

I give this book five stars because it is a really good book that can't be put down once you start reading. The author uses words in such a way that you actual think you are there. The book has adventure, mystery and a bit of fantasy as there is some time warp in there. It's a good read!
