INSPIRING WORDS FOR YOUNG AUTHORS
Listen up kids! Yes, that's YOU! Writing is incredible. It's amazing and sharing your writing with others is such an awesome gift. When you write, you are able to share your stories with the world! Craig and I began our adventure almost four years ago. Who would have known that by this day, we'd have one National Bestselling book and another on the way! We've sold almost 15,000 books across Canada! Now, you may be thinking that I'm trying to show-off. Well, I'm not at all. I am just trying to tell you this: we are two ordinary boys, doing an extraordinary thing, that ANYONE can do! We don't have wings, and we can't fly. We are no more special than you, but we had a dream and we worked hard to achieve it, and we NEVER gave up. That is so important. Never let your dreams fade. Always keep your eyes on your prize. I leave you with the key to writing - READING - read all the time, read different things and never give up on it, no matter how difficult it may be. The more you read, the better you get, the better you get, the more you read! It works that way. Reading will help you in all parts of life, and if you want to be the best writer you can be, don't just practice writing, practice reading. The greatest writers are the greatest readers. They go hand in hand. I was a weak reader at your age. Now I can read anything. Why? I PRACTICED. I wish you each of you well in your reading and writing adventures. Chris Nihmey PS Do you need to edit your work? A huge YES!!!! It is just as important as the writing itself, and without it, you will never achieve this goal - a story that is APAP (As Perfect As Possible). This should be your goal with every story you write. Good luck with your website!
