- I learned that
cooperating gets the job done
faster.

you need to colour really dark to make the picture show
up on the scanner.

sometimes true, and sometimes
fiction.
- Legends were
written long ago and written in countries all over the
world.
- I learned that
legends are interesting and I am good at writing
legends.
- Legends include
animals, princes, kings, famous people, and
symbols.
- They explain
something that happened long long
ago.
- Sometimes the
story changes like when you play the game
"telephone"
- Legends are easy
and fun to read.
- If you add
adjectives then it makes a better
story.
- My favourite
legend is Paul Bunyan.
- What I liked about
working with one of the PGL students is that Shannon was
nice, fun and exciting because she was fast at
typing.
- The PGL students
gave us lots of great ideas
- I learned how to
type my story in Claris Homepage.
- We saw how to link
a page back to the front page.
- I learned where my
country is in the world.
- Legends are
awesome because I was able to speak on our

- Read a variety of
fiction and non fiction materials (e.g. chapter books, children’s
reference books for different purpose
- Distinguish between fact
and fiction
- Begin to make inferences
while reading
- Begin to develop their
own opinions by considering some ideas from various written
materials
- Identify and describe
different forms or genres of writing (eg. poems, stories, plays)
- Use their knowledge of
the organization and characteristics of different forms of
writing as a guide before and during reading
Writing
- Produce pieces of writing
using a variety of forms (eg. Simple research reports, letters,
stories, poems)
- Use materials from other
media (eg sketches) to enhance their writing
- Revise and edit their
work, using feedback from the teacher and their peer; proofread
and correct their final drafts
- Use and spell correctly
the vocabulary appropriate for this grade level
- Use correctly the
conventions (spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.) specified for
this grade level.
