Our Mission

We are the future.
Working together we can make a difference!
Let's create a culture of peace and non-violence!

I have a dream...these four words were probably the most famous words ever spoken by Martin Luther King Jr. And he was really on to something!! He believed that everyone regardless of their race, gender, religion or beliefs; the young and the old, the rich and the poor should be able to join hands and walk together as brothers and sisters in dignity with respect and tolerance towards each other. If everybody had a dream like his, the world would probably be a much more peaceful place.

 Think of it: PEACE.
It's a household word, but what does it really mean?
  • Does it mean equality between men and women, between different ethnic groups, between the poor and the rich?
  • Is peace doing something kind for your neighbour or someone you don't like or know very well?
  • Does it mean that we have to have a change of heart and think not only of ourselves, but also of the well-being of others?
  • Does it mean taking care of the environment, trying not to pollute and respecting all life?
  • Does peace mean that the wars, battles, and fights of the world just shouldn't be going on, that people should renounce violence as a way of solving problems?
Peace means all of those things and more!

Six principles of a culture of peace and non-violence
  • respect all life,
  • reject violence,
  • share with others,
  • listen to understand
  • preserve the planet
  • rediscover solidarity - we are all in this together
(from Manifesto 2000)
