Greetings from Canada's capital!

We're the PGL Grades 4, 5, and 6 from St. Elizabeth School in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. PGL stands for Program for Gifted Learners. Our teacher, Ms Naujokaitis who loves computers and the Internet, has us use the World Wide Web not only for research, but also to create websites for many of the online projects that we run.

In our project, Students Against Landmines, we have worked hard to learn about landmines and then teach other students about the horrors of these silent, but very deadly weapons.

We are also known as the Pugglers. You won't find Puggler in the dictionary. It's a newly-coined word meaning a fighter with a gentle heart. We are fighters for peace, justice and a better world!

In our program there are about 100 students. We come from different schools (18) and communities. Every day of the week a different group gets together to interact and work hard. By the way, even though we go to a special program, we're just regular kids as anyone else. All of the people in our classes are 9-11 years old and some of us have just turned 12. We like to do basically anything any other 9-12 year old girl or boy would like to do. We all like sports, TV, pizza, friends and just hanging out.
