We try to make our websites "environmentally-friendly" by recycling and reusing our favourite graphics. This logo is the final version of one that was created in 1995. Check out its history below.

1999-2000

Our logo has children of many races joined hand in hand by "animated" hearts around the earth. The picture is a symbol of teamwork, cooperation and reaching out to others. It's only when everyone works together that solutions to big problems can be found.

1997

We used this version in our international project,
I Have a Dream: Bridging Diversity and Building Peace as we celebrated friendship, tolerance and understanding with other kids around the world by building a Web of Peace. We think it's cool! Check it out!

1995-96

This is the original graphic made by Amanda P. and Heather B. (both 10 years old at the time). It was created for the Children's Rights section of the inaugural issue, The United Nations at 50 Years of our online newsmagazine, NewsWave Canada. Students from 26 Canadian schools wrote on such topics as poverty, wars, peacekeeping, famine, racism, environment and children's rights. This is a must-see site.
